Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, has an immediate opportunity for a CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic for a Global Medical Device Company in Franklin, MA
Contract | Onsite | $30 - $33 per hour Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair CNC and precision machining equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role supports preventive maintenance, minimizes downtime, and ensures equipment reliability. Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machinery
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and servo systems
Maintain equipment including 5-axis mills, mill-turns, EDMs, CNC lathes, and related systems
Analyze machine data to detect abnormalities and prevent breakdowns
Document repairs and determine root cause of failures
Partner with Engineering to resolve complex issues
Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and safety standards
Qualifications
5+ years of CNC maintenance experience in manufacturing
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
Experience with CNC controllers (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Mazatrol, Heidenhain preferred)
PLC and servo troubleshooting experience preferred
Ballbar testing experience a plus
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in manufacturing environments
