Job Description

Johnson Service Group is seeking Composite/Structural Technicians in Northern California and in the Atlanta, GA area.
 
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience in the fabrication, repair, and assembly of composite structures.
  • Proficient use of tools and equipment specific to composite materials, such as vacuum bagging, autoclaves, and precision measuring instruments.
  • In-depth understanding of various composite materials, resins, and fibers.
  • Ability to select appropriate materials based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Perform inspections and quality control checks on composite structures to ensure adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
  • Non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques for composite materials.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications related to composite structures.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during all stages of composite structure fabrication, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Communicating and collaborating skills closely with engineers, designers, and other team members in a start-up project environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to composite structure fabrication and assembly.
  • Efficient organizational skills to manage work tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to project timelines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in project requirements and willingness to learn and apply new techniques and technologies in composite materials.
  • Accurate record-keeping to document processes, changes, and inspection results.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Inspecting your own work quality and checking for FOD (foreign object debris).
  What You Need
  • Ability to adhere to high standards of Safety and Compliance to regulatory requirements.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aircraft structure, manufacturing, and fabrication.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with aircraft assembly processes and procedures.
  • Experience using software applications such as emailing, internet navigation, model base definition understanding, Microsoft suite and other specialized software.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts).
