Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, is seeking a Controller for a high growth construction firm in San Diego.
Direct Hire | Hybrid | Salary range $100K - $120K based on experience
Position Summary
Lead accounting and administrative operations, with a focus on construction project accounting. Collaborate with management and teams across the organization.

Oversee monthly requisitions, project forecasts (CTC/WIP), and cash positions.
4+ years of construction accounting experience.
Monitor over/under billings and high-risk projects.
Prepare and track cash forecasts, SG&A budgets, and monthly P&L forecasts.
Finalize WIP reports and present results to management.
Track and report backlog and CapEx requirements.
Manage warehouse, inventory, and equipment accounting.
Act as a liaison between risk management and project teams.
Represent finance in divisional, corporate, client, and project meetings.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business - Required
Job cost accounting.
Work in Process (WIP).
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage teams and work effectively with management.
Proficient in time management and prioritizing tasks.
Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
Dedicated, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
