Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Construction Estimator for our client in the Indianapolis, IN area. This is a direct hire position with a competitive salary and great benefits. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family-oriented company that’s growing significantly.
The Construction Estimator will conceptualize, prepare, and deliver pricing proposals to sales and/or customers as it relates to the design, engineering, manufacturing, and construction of architectural and commercial stainless steel, aluminum, and glass railings, and corresponding installation packages.
Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience estimating from conceptual, schematic and design development drawings.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a related field.
Estimating experience in construction, construction materials or custom manufacturing.
Experience working with take-offs, bid documents, scope sheets.
Expertise reading and interpreting contracts, drawings, and specifications.
Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel, experience with take-off software a plus.
Ability to manage multiple estimates and/or projects concurrently.
Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
Strong math, technical writing and verbal communication skills required.
Must have experience with sales and possess strong customer facing capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good understanding of the design/build process.
Must be collaborative with the ability to work well within a team environment.
Must have excellent overall computer and information technology skills.
Strong logical decision-making ability.
Capacity to handle pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
