Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized Contract Engineering and Technical Staffing firm specializing in Engineering and Manufacturing. We are currently recruiting for a Controls Engineer for a client in the Buffalo Grove area.
Responsibilities:
Electrical designs consisting of table of contents, Network diagrams, Panel Layouts, Single Line Diagrams, Electrical Schematics, bill of materials, and recommended spare parts
Ensure designs and layouts can be completed within project timeline and budget
Verified electrical design calculation of SCCR
Advise and coach electrical build group
Develops interfaces to external devices
Pneumatic Schematics, ensure designs properly distribute all energy
Generates programs for PLCs, HMIs, Robots, and manages configurations for connected devices
Commissioning and debugging, working with other departments to ensure machining matches design
Operator Manual and project documentation
Installs and services machinery
Travel to customer sites to verify installations
Train’s customers/ end user personnel
Requirements and other skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
3-5 years of experience in electrical design
2-3 years of experience in PLC programming
Experience with AutoCAD
Siemens, Rockwell Logix, or FANUC is preferred
Exposure to national codes such as NFPA 79, ISO 60204, ANSI B11.19, ANSI B11.26, or ISO 13849 is preferred
