Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Corporate Controller with Construction/Engineering company experience. This is a direct hire opportunity with a Construction Management, Engineering solutions company located in Woodbury NY vicinity.
Compensation: Min: $150,000 - Max: $180,000
 Responsibilities
Financial reporting – Define and execute accounting and financial reporting practices in accordance with GAAP
Manage all monthly, quarterly and year-end closings, including account reconciliations, accrual schedules and general journal entries, ensuring that reconciliations are performed accurately and on-time
Own the GL and recording of all business transactions, including detailed analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts, while ensuring compliance with local accounting requirements and internal policies.
Manage day-to-day operational needs, including accounts payable, expense management, vendor management, and payroll processes
Streamline, maintain & improve processes and internal controls
Interact and communicate effectively with the Accounting team, other internal/external parties, and customers at various levels
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required
7+ years’ experience with Big 4 accounting firm a plus
Experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction Industry a big+
Strong analytical skills
Change Leadership – Implements needed change while maintain the cohesion of the organization and meeting short-term operational goals
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of Deltek/Vision System highly desired
