Position: Corporate Tax Compliance Director Location: On-site, Houston, TX (No remote options) Compensation: $165,576 – $199,833 Bonus: Eligible for a 15% annual incentive bonus
We're seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Tax Compliance Director to join our Houston-based team. This role is a unique opportunity to drive all aspects of tax strategy and compliance at a groundbreaking energy company with both public and private, domestic and international operations. Qualifications:
Based in Houston (full-time, on-site).
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. (Active CPA license preferred)
8+ years of experience in accounting/finance, including 5+ years in tax.
Deep expertise in ASC 740, U.S. & international tax, and tax planning.
Experience with Up-C structures, tax receivable agreements, and DeSPAC transactions highly preferred.
Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams.
Public company/SOX compliance experience a plus.
 Key Responsibilities:
Lead all tax compliance activities—federal, state, local, international, and sales/use taxes.
Manage external advisors and drive collaboration on tax planning, provisions, and SEC reporting.
Analyze complex tax issues and provide strategic guidance to leadership.
Build and lead a high-performing internal tax team.
Support M&A transactions, Up-C structures, and DeSPAC-related tax work.
Oversee audits and ensure ongoing compliance across global jurisdictions.
