Cybersecurity Project Manager with PMP certification

Job Description

If you have a proven track record of working well remotely and have strong experience managing IT projects, our client has an opportunity for you to consider. This 12-month contract assignment is slated to begin in early June and may be extended. An active PMP certification is required. The ideal candidate will live in the Tennessee/Georgia/Kentucky area and have experience managing cybersecurity-related projects.
  • W2 pay rate $45-$60/hour depending upon experience
  • Work remotely (occasional office meetings may be required)
  • Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Manager is needed to help facilitate the implementation of projects that contribute to security, reliability, and compliance of Technology and Innovation
- Responsible for the overall planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific information technology and innovation projects according to specifications, within budget cost from initiation through completion
- Lead Joint Project Teams (JPT)
- Apply professional principles, practices and techniques to manage and control the project schedule, cost, and risk to help ensure project is completed within a certain set of restraints (e.g., time, budget, people, quality, materials) and with a high level of quality
- Serve as the single point of contact regarding specific project(s)
- Manage project budgets over $8 million or a portfolio of projects that have an aggregate total over $25 million

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; OR, in lieu of a degree, equivalent training, education, and relevant professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience
- Proven knowledge of project management techniques
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Experience managing cybersecurity projects including zero trust architecture
- Demonstrated experience resolving complex problems
- Practical experience in project scoping and cost estimating
- Proven ability to analyze in-depth technical problems and determine the most cost-effective solution

- ITIL and Agile certifications
