Job Description

Drug Product Manufacturing Associate I

Johnson Service Group, a nationally award winning staffing firm, is looking to hire a Drug Product Manufacturing Associate for a biotech manufacturing company in Carlsbad, CA.

This role is Temp to Hire | Onsite | The pay range for this position is between $20.00 - 24.00 per hour |Candidate must have authorization to work with in the US as our client isn’t able to provide current or future sponsorship.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform various routine manufacturing tasks under the direction of internal SOP's and cGMP guidelines
  • Prepare materials needed for manufacturing operations.
  • Record all steps clearly and completely in production batch records, logbooks, and other required forms.
  • Participate in preparing for inspections.
  • Perform basic math calculations.
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean.
  • Assist experienced staff in making bulk drug formulations using lab equipment.
  • Assist experienced staff in sterile filtration activities and sterile filling procedures.
  • Handle lab waste according to set procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Life Science preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong time and project management skills needed.
  • Effective communication skills required for collaboration within the department and across divisions.
  • High integrity, trustworthiness, and a strong work ethic essential.
  • Experience in a cGMP contract manufacturing organization is advantageous.
