Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized professional recruiting firm is assisting our global manufacturing client with an EHS Manager to support North & South America EHS activities in Mt. Pleasant, PA. This role will lead and manage health, safety, security and environmental programs and processes.
Responsibilities:
Contributing to the development and implementation of various EHS programs and procedures
Acting as a coach and advisor toward the leadership team concerning EHS management
Assuring the organization’s compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal EHS regulations
Maintaining the EHS management systems and carry out inspections and audits, analyze the results, and manage the corrective actions
Overseeing the incident reporting, investigation and analysis program
Analyzing and monitoring trends regarding incidents, inspections, audits and corrective measures and keep the management team informed
Organizing activities to promote employee awareness, increase their participation and encourage the adoption of safe behaviors
Direct the ergonomics program, job analyses, and prioritize and implement corrective actions
Receiving/collecting EHS best practices and lead local implementation as appropriate
Assisting HR and care management representatives regarding return-to-work strategies
Maintaining certifications for both ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Responsible for EHS strategic planning to help move the organization towards achieving all KPI’s as well as target and objectives
Responsible for annual EHS department budgeting and capital expenditure planning
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental or Occupational Health Sciences and minimum of 8+ years of relevant EHS experience in manufacturing
Experience and/or familiarity with ISO45001 & ISO 14001
Experience with represented workforce
Ability to operate within and support matrixed leadership and functional teams
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations including air, wastewater, and hazardous waste
