Johnson Service Group is seeking a hands-on Electronics Test Engineer to support the development and execution of test programs for electronic hardware, embedded software, and integrated systems. The ideal candidate will have experience writing test scripts, diagnosing board-level issues, and supporting end-to-end testing in a manufacturing environment. This role is key to ensuring the quality, reliability, and manufacturability of our electronic products.
This position also requires a strong understanding of schematics, layout interpretation, and the ability to provide actionable feedback to cross-functional teams. Experience maintaining test equipment and supporting hardware troubleshooting is essential. Competencies required for this role:

Must be a US Person in accordance with United States immigration laws to be considered for this position.
2+ years of related work experience.
Associates degree in a technical discipline.
You’ll stand out if you have:
Had a role to develop, maintain, and enhance current test methodologies and processes to enable better technology transfer, yield improvement, process optimization, failure analysis, training, troubleshooting, and developing / maintaining test fixtures and test procedures.
Have experience testing hardware modules, software applications, and end-to-end systems test.
Can review hardware and bucket manufacturing issues into categories such as Design, Software, Test, Equipment, or SMT-related failures
Write and maintain electronics test programs (manual and automated) using Python, LabVIEW, or C/C++
Basic understanding of Schematics and Layout.
Debug and diagnosis board level issues and give appropriate feedback to rework operators, technicians, SMT engineers and design engineers in order to correct the issue and ensure the longevity and quality of all manufactured products.
Responsible for reading, analyzing, and interpreting of various technical procedures and reports.
Responsible for writing reports and keeping accurate documentation.
Soldering experience.
Background in wiring harness construction or repair (a plus)
IPC-A-610: Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies certification.
Degree in electrical or computer engineering.
A Typical Day Will Include:
Performing assembly and standard test functions on PCBA and Final Assembly level devices.
Working alongside the manufacturing and test teams to maintain effective testing for our products.
Debugging station problems and coming up with solutions and getting test systems back running.
Working on board level problems to find issues as they occur and give detailed instructions on the solutions.
Maintain the test equipment in the lab anything from power supplies to network analyzers.
Working with engineering to fix systemic problems that arise.
Working on RMA from customers to determine fault and solutions.
Backup for Manufacturing Engineering Technician (SMT/Equipment programming and preventative maintenance – mechanical aptitude required; training will be provided).
Creating work instructions and training operators and peers for test and assembly.
Education: related technical experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Rate is $38-$48/hr DOE
