Summary
As part of the Product Development Team, you will play a vital role in the development and design of innovative products and systems supporting the power generation industry (transformers).
Responsibilities
Lead the development of design specifications and models for transformers, ensuring all standards and regulations are met.
Conduct design reviews and verifications, implementing modifications to elevate project quality.
Manage project timelines, ensuring design milestones are achieved and projects are delivered on schedule.
Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and seek opportunities for design innovations.
Engage with customers to capture and incorporate their feedback into design solutions, enhancing customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective, selecting optimal materials and components.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation that supports design processes and facilitates knowledge sharing.
Identify and implement continuous design improvements based on test results and industry best practices, enhancing quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
At least one year of experience in design engineering, specifically with power protection equipment such as switchgear, relays, arresters, circuit breakers, etc.
Experience or coursework in Power Systems Protection, particularly fuses, huge plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Proactive attitude, self-motivated and with a strong sense of ownership.
Open to change, feedback and continuous improvement.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for our client in the United States.
