Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized, professional recruiting firm is assisting our global manufacturing client in their search for a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to act as a SME for the production line. This will sit onsite near Jackson, TN and relocation support is available.
Responsibilities
Perform various engineering tasks such as analysis, design, development, test, installation, and service while working from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, Bill of Materials, and other relevant information.
Prepare specifications and related documents according to requirements. Review and analyze various engineering data, documents, and reports.
Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application and recommend revisions as appropriate.
Investigate technical problems and establish procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences.
Primary focus will be on customers and commercial orders, as well as product care and operational troubleshooting and field support.
Assist senior Engineers in preparing drawings/specifications, material and design selection, quotations, licensing and safety documents, and obtaining required approvals.
Using CAD to develop 2-D and 3-D models of components and assemblies for prototype, production, and retrofit builds.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product design and performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
At least 4 years’ experience in design engineering, specifically within the utilities or power manufacturer space, i.e. circuit breakers, arresters, bushings, tap changers, etc.
Experience with Pro-E or other 3D CAD software modeling is required.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for our client in the United States.
