Johnson Service Group is looking for an Engineering Technician to work in Boulder,CO for a Temp to Perm position.
The Engineering Technician generally assists in the production and evaluation of printed circuit board assemblies, which involves attaching components, inspecting, and testing printed circuit boards. This person will be responsible for the assembly quality and on-time delivery of all products that are produced by client’s printed circuit board assembly process. Responsible for the tooling, programming, profiling, and setup of the circuit board assembly line equipment and processes including, but not limited to, Surface Mount Assembly (SMT) machines, Selective Wave (SW), Automated Optical InspectionÂ
(AOI), screen printers, board loaders, reflow ovens, selective solder equipment,
 and other assembly line support equipment. Monitoring  performance and completing ongoing maintenance and administering preventative maintenance of the equipment.Â
This person employs a diverse set of skills to complete their tasks. Â This person will be responsible for training others.
Requirements for this role
•   Must be a US Person according with United States immigration laws to be considered for this position.
•   High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
You’ll stand out if
•   You have experience programming and operating SMT/SW/AOI equipment.
•   Trained others in the operation of SMT/SW/AOI equipment.
•   You are IPC-A-610 Class 2 trained or capable of achieving this certification.
•   Have experience in rework and repair of electronic assemblies.
•   Understand component packages and can interpret component data sheets.
•   You understand procedures and processes, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
•   Mechanical aptitude for assembly.
•   Fluid reading and comprehension of English.
•   Eliminating roadblocks via cross training and resource balancing/ work sharing.
•   Monitoring employee performance to employee position/assignment, identifying training gapsÂ
and advocating to management for resources to close identified gaps.
•   Leading lean manufacturing/six sigma teams. Â
A typical day will include
•   Perform defect and failure inspection for PCB assembly and test processes
•   Utilize process sheets to ensure correct build of product
•   Potential movement to different production areas.
•   Load feeders for surface mount machines using the load list provided by machine
•   Initiate and select correct programs for manufacturing equipment per documented process guides.
•   Select the proper tools and fixtures to utilize for the manufacturing operation.
•   Perform machine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment based on assigned schedules
   under guidance of the manufacturing engineer.Â
Rate: $24-36/hour depending on experience.
