Johnson Service Group is seeking a Facilities Specialist for a hi-tech manufacturing company in San Diego.
$27.00 - $37.00 per hour based on experience | Onsite | Contract Position
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Specialist to ensure the facility infrastructure remains in excellent condition. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and dedicated to performing a variety of maintenance tasks that keep the building safe, organized, and operational.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular inspections across all floors, identifying and addressing maintenance needs.
• Schedule and complete routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Perform patchwork to repair walls and other structural elements.
• Complete painting jobs to maintain a professional and fresh appearance throughout the facility.
• Address minor plumbing issues and perform necessary repairs to prevent disruptions.
• Conduct minor electrical work to ensure all electrical components are safe and functional.
• Install whiteboards, desks, picture frames, and other office fixtures as required.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas, including bathrooms, as needed.
• Maintain and service coffee machines in the breakroom and lunchroom, ensuring they are fully operational.
• Restock supplies (e.g., coffee, paper goods, utensils) in breakroom and lunchroom.
• Monitor inventory and order facility supplies promptly to prevent shortages.
Qualifications:
• Skilled in using ladders, hand tools, and performing a variety of maintenance tasks.
• Experience with patchwork, painting, and general building repairs.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, with the ability to handle minor repairs.
• Proficient in installing office fixtures and equipment.
• Comfortable performing cleaning duties to maintain facility standards, including breakroom and lunchroom upkeep.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inspection schedules, inventory, and regular maintenance.
• Experience maintaining coffee machines and handling supply orders is a plus.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or trade school certification required; specialized license preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of maintenance or facilities experience.
• Solid understanding of building codes, OSHA regulations, and safe working practices.
• Strong communication skills.
