Johnson Service Group is helping our client find an experienced IT Project Portfolio Analyst to analyze and prioritize complex IT projects. This is a hybrid position with some time required in the office in Chattanooga, Tennessee but much of the work may be performed remotely. Candidates local to the Chattanooga/Knoxville area preferred.
 Due to the nature of the work and the requirements of federal government contracts, U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status (Green Card) is required.

W2 Pay Rate: $60-$70/hour depending upon experience (Time-and-one-half for overtime)
Duration: 12+ months

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform analysis to support the identification and prioritization of IT projects that support corporate business strategy
- Analyze the impact to existing portfolio when new projects surface and work with functional and project managers to identify alternative strategies (resources, project sequencing, etc.) to keep projects within the portfolio on track
- Analyze, identify, and report on trends that could have a potentially negative impact to other projects functionally or financially
- Perform project cost estimating, scheduling, milestone tracking, and reporting
- Implement standard methods for project performance monitoring, reporting, analysis, trend assessment, scheduling, and estimating
- Provide support to project advisory and/or project justification committees by identifying items and/or trends that could affect projects or in response to follow-up items from committee meetings

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; OR, in lieu of a degree, equivalent education, training, and relevant professional experience
- Minimum of 8 years of project control, analysis, and/or management experience
- Extensive experience in translating forecasts and analyses into recommendations and actions - Demonstrated experience in project management, engineering, or business administration
- Proven experience with and knowledge of advanced concepts in project management, accounting, financial analysis, and risk analysis
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Certification by Project Management Institute (PMI) or AACE
