Job Description

JSG is seeking an Inside Sales Representative on a contract to permanent hire basis for our Aerospace & Defense client in Chatsworth, CA. 

Position Purpose/Summary:
The primary role of an Inside Sales Representative is to aggressively prospect and develop accounts, generate sales quotes, and handle customer inquiries while working in tandem with Customer Service Representatives and other departments. 

Essential Responsibilities/Duties
In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:
• Respond to request for quotes RFQ’s.
• Develop pricing and margin strategies for aerospace fastener and component parts.
• Provide Service support to Customers, Distributors and Channel Partners
• Review customer contracts.
• Resolve routine customer issues.
• Review Excel reports including Open Order Report.
• Access and understand customer-specific portals.
• Track order activity and alert appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems. Coordinate with internal team to resolve delivery issues.
• Serve as communication link between customers and other departments to assure responsiveness and satisfaction.
• Shop in the market for available inventories when critical gaps appear in supply chain that cannot be improved by internal expedite teams. Process these buy requests.
• Understand customer Approved Supplier Lists and ensure a match to internal systems.
• Develop knowledge of customer specific quality requirements/flow downs. Contribute this knowledge during price and contract renewal reviews with internal teams.
• Work alongside contracts team and help facilitate/negotiate pricing and terms of the long-term agreement.
• Ensure accurate uploads of new contracts to ERP upon award acceptance as part of Contract Implementation process.

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• A college degree strongly preferred.
• 3+ years aerospace or distribution sales experience
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of the aerospace hardware market including suppliers and OEMs
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to balance priorities.
• Proven ability to meet sales goals.
• Natural leadership and driver of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledgeable about being an effective collaborator and team member.
• Knowledge of actual sales versus quotas
Skills:
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Expert verbal and written communication skills
• Highly developed organizational skills
• Attention to detail skills.
• Intermediate level on Excel skills
• Ability to work on multiple things simultaneously

Work Requirements
Travel up to 15%, which may include client visits and international travel. Employee should have passport and/or visa depending on the country requirements.

$26.00-$29.00/hr. DOE - rate increase at conversion to full-time employee and eligible for $7,500 annual bonus.
