Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our clients team as an Intermediate Oversight Electrical Engineer.
As an Intermediate Oversight Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the design and implementation of all electrical equipment and systems required for the projects you are assigned to. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the quality, compliance, and efficiency of the electrical engineering aspects of the projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Design Scope: Collaborate with the Project Development group to establish the engineering design scope of the project, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the requirements and objectives.

Design Oversight: Provide oversight on discipline-specific design activities, occasionally working at the ESP (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) office. Ensure the quality and progress of the electrical engineering design.

Issue Reporting: Identify and report any issues of concern to the Lead Oversight Engineer, ensuring prompt resolution and effective communication within the project team.

Regulatory Applications: Facilitate the provision of necessary engineering information to the Project Manager to support regulatory applications and compliance.

Procurement Support: Assist in the procurement process by reviewing equipment specification sheets, conducting technical bid reviews, visiting equipment shops, and participating in inspections.

Deliverable Quality and Schedule Monitoring: Monitor and ensure the discipline-specific deliverables' quality and adherence to schedules, taking proactive steps to address any deviations.

Quality Adherence: Monitor and verify that ESP's quality program is being followed, maintaining high standards of engineering excellence.

Value Improving Practices: Explore opportunities to optimize the design through Value Improving Practices (VIPs) such as process simplification, design to capacity, value engineering, and RAM studies (Reliability, Availability & Maintainability).

Hazard Reviews: Participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) and other hazard reviews, contributing to the identification and mitigation of potential risks.

Cross-Functional Liaison: Collaborate with various functional Business Unit departments, including Operations, SCADA, Regulatory, Environmental, Process Safety, Health & Safety, Lands, Stakeholder Relations, Measurement & Allocations, and Communications, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 7-10 years of engineering experience in a related field, with a proven track record of successful electrical engineering project oversight and design.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with various stakeholders and team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
