Johnson Service Group (JSG)Â is actively seeking Lead Engine Technician with 8 years of experience in turbine engine for an assignment in Florida.
Job Description:Â
Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
Inspect engines and/or APU’S, components and associated aircraft systems and components for damage, defects, corrosion, or other wear to ensure airworthiness in accordance with appropriate maintenance manuals.Â
Interpret discrepancies or maintenance logs (written or verbal) to understand history and nature of issue, to troubleshoot and identify required next steps to return to service and or airworthy condition.Â
Recommends replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft engines/APU’S based on inspection.Â
Perform installation, removal or modifications of turbine engines/APU’s, systems or components, following drawings, schematics, engineering orders, and technical publications.Â
Perform repairs on worn, defective, or damaged parts or components (e.g., damaged gaskets, lines and couplings), using hand tools, gauges and testing equipment.Â
Research, read, and interpret technical manuals and guidelines to perform inspections, installations, repairs, or other work activities.Â
Conduct and assist with engine/APU’s and related systems operational checks and functional tests. Â
Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, schematics, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications. Â
Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance adheres to standards and procedures, and that aircraft are ready for operation. Â
Assist other employees in the performance of general aircraft maintenance task and their duties within area(s) of qualification. Â
Assist Aviation Maintenance Technicians in the operation of ground support equipment (GSE), for example, ground power units, hydraulic mules, and oxygen servicing units as needed.Â
Assist with performing complete engine runs. Â
Operate ground support equipment. Â
Assist with off-aircraft component repair.
Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:Â
FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
Minimum of eight (8+) years aircraft turbine engine line or shop maintenance or substantiated equivalent experience
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience on corporate jet aircraft
Minimum of one (1) year experience on Bombardier aircraft
Proficient in completing engine R&R’S, borescopes and written reports
