JSG is seeking an experienced Lead Inspector/Assessor for a direct hire position in Canoga Park, CA. The successful candidate should possess a certification from the Department of Public Health as an inspector/assessor. He/she will have the necessary expertise to analyze lead testing results and interpret the data.
Candidates will be required to write and edit detailed scientific reports for clients. They will have the ability to provide scientific expertise, advice, guidance and interpretation to clients.
Asbestos, industrial hygiene, and Indoor Air Quality experience and certifications are a plus.
Education – Bachelor of Science or equivalent
Qualifications –
Successful candidates will:
- Have a minimum of 5 years of field experience conducting assessments and inspections for lead.
- Proficiently perform assignments having the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience needed to carry out all aspects of completing the project.
- Exercise independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments.
- May receive instructions and guidance on unusual or complex problems and knows when to get others involved.
- Effectively utilize the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches encountered in work assignments.
- Identify and eliminate unnecessary work and non-value added activities.
- Be proficient with MS Office and Outlook.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as knowledge of building systems
- Be familiar with the use and operation of a Niton XRF analyzer
- Possess a current certification from the State of California as a Lead Inspector Assessor.
