Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized professional recruiting firm is currently seeking an Account Representative to support a distribution center in North Charleston, SC. to join our long-time client, supporting the largest logistics operations in the world.

Summary
Manage and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient handling of their warehousing and distribution needs. This role demands strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to excel in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships based on trust and reliability.
  • Understand clients' business requirements and proactively identify opportunities to meet their warehousing and distribution needs.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, address inquiries, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of client orders.
  • Review order specifications, documentation, and pricing to ensure compliance with client requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, orders, and relevant information.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained for clients.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, shipment accuracy, and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings for clients, while ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve client complaints or issues related to orders, shipments, billing, or other concerns.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate departments, ensuring prompt resolution and client satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to management regarding recurring issues or trends for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required. 
  • Candidates will ideally have a background in customer support, hospitality, account management or a similar service industry. Training will be provided! 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency in conveying complex information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, including proper email etiquette.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.

Additional Information:
  • Hours: Mon – Fri, 7:00am – 4:00pm
  • Reporting to Office Manager
  • Training available; no prior logistics experience is necessary
  • On-site role sitting behind a desk in a distribution center environment
    • Office is climate controlled; warehouse is not.
