Johnson Service Group, a nationally award-winning staffing firm, is looking to hire a Low Voltage Estimator for a privately held full-service Security Systems Integrator in
San Diego.
Direct Hire | Onsite | $75k $95K depending on experience | Candidate must have authorization to work within the US as our client isn’t able to provide current or future sponsorship.Â
Responsibilities:
Manage the entire low voltage system estimating lifecycle efficiently, adhering to timelines, deadlines, and creating comprehensive estimating packages.
Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to ascertain the scope of work and necessary project estimate details. Conduct thorough research to ensure accurate, complete, and competitive pricing.
Carefully examine all project requirements and specifications while preparing estimates and proposals.
Calculate complete takeoffs for the scope of work using estimating software.
Identify and account for any risks related to the estimate in project proposals.
Ensure all estimates and proposals are comprehensive, well-organized, and prepared for review before deadlines.
Develop project proposals and participate in the pre-bid review process as needed.
Maintain organized files of working documents for future reference.
Collaborate with operations teams to smoothly transition awarded projects.
Cultivate and maintain customer relationships.
Communicate with customers to clearly define project scope and address any design issues or deficiencies.
Requirements:
Minimum of three years' experience as an Estimator in the low voltage system construction industry.
Experience in low voltage systems and design-build projects.
Strong technical knowledge of materials and methods used in security system installations is preferred.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams, and following specifications.
Ability to complete project bidding efficiently and cost-effectively, with a strong emphasis on quality.
Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, estimating software, and construction management platforms.
Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
