Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized staffing agency, is targeting a Medium Voltage, Variable Frequency Drives, Field Service Engineer for our industrial manufacturing client in the Wauwatosa, WI area (or anywhere within the US, within 1 hour of a major airport). The incumbent will provide remote and onsite support regarding installation commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and programming concerns. Â
80% Domestic Travel | Rotating Schedule of Technical Support, Includes Evenings & Weekends
Responsibilities:
Aid technical problems regarding medium voltage drives and systems, including variable frequency drives, working to investigate problems and initiate measures to correct and avoid future issues.
Coordinate customer activities while carrying out preparatory work for all spare parts, testing of tools, equipment and handling all documentation as needed.
Proactively providing feedback on quality issues, and performing comprehensive service reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering.
Prior experience with MV drives, power electronics, transformers, motors, and switchgears required.
Experience with AC/DC drive systems and associated controls preferred.
Ability to interpret circuit and wire diagrams, assembly, and technical drawings.
Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work within the United States.
