Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized recruiting firm that is currently seeking 3 Machining Technicians for a reputable manufacturer in Ladson, SC.
Compensation: $23.00/hr plus a $1.00/hr shift differential once moved to off shift. Additional opportunity for increases via on-the-job training.
Shift Information:
Training on 1st shift (Mon - Fri, 7:00am - 3:30pm)
Once training is completed, the employee will be moved to 2nd or 3rd shift. At a minimum, a month's notice will be provided.
2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm, Mon - Fri)
3rd shift (11:00pm to 7:30am Sunday - Friday)
Additional increases available as you complete certain levels on the job.
Summary:
Working from layouts and dimensions on drawings and reading manual gauges
Load, align, set up machines per drawing instructions and maintain quality production records.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Prior machining background is preferred, or a graduate of machining or toolmaker program, or ex-military in a mechanical/electrical related field.
Prior exposure to blueprints is helpful
Must possess strong math skills (decimal conversion and geometry) and has previously used hand tools
Will be required to complete a standard company-specific mechanical skills assessment
Must be able to pass pre-employment checks (drug testing, background and visual exam)
Dependable with an eager attitude and willingness to learn
Maintain consistency and take pride in your work
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and enjoys troubleshooting
