JSG is recruiting for a Lead Machinist who will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, efficient operation of state-of-the-art machinery for our client in Plymouth, Indiana. As a key leader within the department, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex machines that drive production and uphold our quality standards.
Shifts open:Â
2nd Shift: M-Th, 1 pm – 11 pm ET
Weekend AM: F-SU, 5 am – 5 pm ET
Weekend PM: F-SU, 5 pm – 5 am ET
Pay $25/hour or more depending on experience.
Required Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery
Experience operating and adjusting machinery, including managing settings like speed and temperature
Attention to detail for quality inspection and defect identification
Technical proficiency in machine operation and maintenance
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly
Commitment to safety protocols and a safe working environment
Ability to load raw materials accurately and perform routine maintenance
Nice to Have Skills:
CNC machinist background or experience
Food manufacturing experience
Knowledge of quality control procedures in a production setting
Other Requirements:
Ability to maintain operational logs and perform preventative maintenance
Strong team support and leadership abilities for training and mentoring team members
