Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Designer for a leading Robotics Company in the north Knoxville area.  This will start out as a 6-month contract position with potential for permanent employment.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00/hour

Responsibilities:
Work with other engineers to design and develop mechanical machine design, design concepts, using 3D modeling.Â
Work in a highly collaborative team environment where good communications skills, teamwork, organizational skills, commitment, attention to detail, and documentation are necessary for success.
Education / Experience:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Drafting or similar field.
1-3Â years of design experience with Autodesk Inventor software.
Basic understanding of machine design principles (robotics background a plus).
Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing setting.
Simple fabrication and assembly skills to build prototype equipment and robotic parts.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
