Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer with technical writing experience for a long-term assignment with a leading pharmaceutical company located in Gaithersburg, MD.
We are looking for a mechanical engineer who can operate as a technical writer for our client in Gaithersburg/Rockville, MD. This person needs to understand utility systems (HVAC, CCW, HHW, gas systems, etc.…) to assist the client in maintenance plans and planning as well as SOPs and SOO document drafting and assessment. Hourly rate $60.00 to $65.00Â
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for facilities equipment, including Air Handling Units (AHUs), pumps, refrigerators, generators, and more.
Create calibration procedures for various facilities equipment.
Draft preventive maintenance (PM) task lists to support operational efficiency.
Utilize existing templates while applying fundamental knowledge of facilities equipment.
Ideally, possess an understanding of AHU sequence of operations.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in technical writing, particularly in a facilities or engineering environment.
Familiarity with facilities equipment and maintenance processes.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
