Job Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized Professional Staffing and Recruiting firm that is currently looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer with HVAC experience. This is a direct hire opportunity with a great engineering firm out in Southwest Suburbs.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with/present to clients regarding projects
- Head up multiple MEP projects
- Mentor/train mechanical engineers/designers
- Independently design projects from schematic design through project completion
- Produce detailed design documents and specifications
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering required
- 12 + years of HVAC engineering experience
- Good knowledge of IMC, IECC and Chicago Building Codes
- Ability to perform Energy Modeling using TRACE, eQUEST
- Understanding of ASHRAE Standards, especially 55, 90.1 & 62.1
- Experience in projects with sustainable solutions and LEED certifications a plus
- PE. license required
- Strong REVIT MEP skills a plus; AutoCAD skills required
