Job Description

Johnson Service Group, a nationally recognized staffing firm, is targeting a Business Development Manager for our industrial manufacturing client, with a specific focus on Motion Drive products, specifically Artificial Lifts and Extruders. The incumbent will foster profitable growth of accounts and elevate market penetration, responsible for defining and executing business/proposal development, and sales forecasting to create new opportunities for expansion.

**Travel 50% required | Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US**

Responsibilities:
  • Focused on Low Voltage Drives, you will identify, develop, and prioritize prospects based on potential revenue and strategic fits. Develop 1-3 year business development plans and engage with targeted OEM accounts.
  • While maintaining a deep understanding of account decision makers, process, application, and product development plans, work to implement short- and long-term business plans.
  • Nurture and continually develop OEM relationships, focusing on driving sales activities and maintaining plans through company CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with application engineering teams and other divisions to develop sales opportunities. Work with global teams and local sales units to coordinate, negotiate and make offers in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain industry trends, dynamics, and a focus on competitive landscape, identifying opportunities, threats and partnerships while continuing to support product management and marketing teams with various value propositions.
  • Contract negotiations with assigned OEM ensuring favorable terms and conditions while protecting the interests of our organization. Collaborate with operation, legal and finance teams to finalize agreements.
  • Understanding of customer needs, experience in customer interface and Negotiation and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to close high-value deals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, Engineering preferred.
  • 8 years of relevant experience working as sales/ business development.
  • Travel 50% domestic, required.
  • Experience in sales/business development with variable speed drives, motors, and automation solutions highly preferred.
  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft office platform and SFDC.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US
