Job Description
Johnson Service Group is looking for a Opto/Mech Tech II for one of our Clients in Irvine. This person would be responsible for the advanced assembly of optical systems for lasers, laser radars and electro-optical sensors and instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Audit 1-2 work order kits from warehouse to confirm pieces and part numbers
- Prepare subassembly components
- Follow written procedures or drawings developed by engineers and suggest improvements to optimize production
- Assemble and debug systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components
- Test each level of assembly (4-5 processes) at the system level using laboratory instruments (i.e. interferometer, Zygo, etc.) Alignment, optimization, stability, transmission, etc.
- Package the final assembly daily (if assembly is completed)
- Cross training is required (trainee and/or trainer)
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of related experience
- The ability to read engineering drawings
- The ability use measurement instruments (interferometer, Zygo)
- Experience entering data numbers into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets templates
- The ability to speak, read, and write in English
Rate $21/hr
