Johnson Service Group is looking for a Opto/Mech Tech II for one of our Clients in Irvine. This person would be responsible for the advanced assembly of optical systems for lasers, laser radars and electro-optical sensors and instruments.
Responsibilities:
Audit 1-2 work order kits from warehouse to confirm pieces and part numbers
Prepare subassembly components
Follow written procedures or drawings developed by engineers and suggest improvements to optimize production
Assemble and debug systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components
Test each level of assembly (4-5 processes) at the system level using laboratory instruments (i.e. interferometer, Zygo, etc.) Alignment, optimization, stability, transmission, etc.
Package the final assembly daily (if assembly is completed)
Cross training is required (trainee and/or trainer)
Qualifications:
2-3 years of related experience
The ability to read engineering drawings
The ability use measurement instruments (interferometer, Zygo)
Experience entering data numbers into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets templates
The ability to speak, read, and write in English
Rate $21/hr
