Job Description

Johnson Service Group, a professional recruiting firm, is seeking a PLC Technician with an electronics background for a global manufacturer near Columbia, MO.

Summary: Responsible for troubleshooting, designing and repairing AC/DC electronic/electrical circuits, industrial controls, PLC's, robot computers, CNC machinery, etc. 

Schedule: Night shift, Friday - Sunday | 12.5 hour days

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble or connect fixtures, electrical controls and apparatus to include switches, relays, circuit breakers, power cables and grounds.
  • Examine, troubleshoot or test equipment using electrical knowledge and sensing instruments to determine cause of failure.
  • Perform servicing, repairs, adjustments, calibration of electrical or electronic circuitry per prints and schematics. 
  • Work with Lead Process Engineer to design or fabricate changes or modifications 
  • Test, setup and repair hydraulic servo-controlled equipment
  • Install, troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical control systems 
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic field, or four years' experience with an emphasis on electronics and PLC programming.
