Job Summary:
The Painter Helper position, under close supervision, will assist experienced Manufacturing Mechanic - Painters with duties that help them remain working on projects. The helper may retrieve references, parts or any other duties requested as well as keep the work area clean. The Painter Helper may only perform those duties for which appropriate training has been provided. All work performed by the Painter Helper shall be the responsibility of a properly certificated trained and qualified supervisory ZACS Cabin Solutions employee who will be responsible for providing direct oversight of the work performed.
Essential Job Duties:
Assist Painters with duties of preparation of parts and assemblies for surface finishes.
Mask and Demask parts and assemblies in preparation for paint and presentation to inspection.
Set up tables with parts and assemblies in preparation for prime and paint.
Link paperwork with completed parts for presentation to inspection.
Secondary Duties:
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Preferred:
Experience in a commercial aircraft environment or industrial automotive paint environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Subject to continual loud noises.
Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand for prolonged periods of time; climb steps, ladders and/or service stands.
Must be able to wear and breathe through a full-face respirator.
Must be able to safely work around hazardous chemicals, solvents, resins and adhesives.
