JSG is a professional search firm, seeking a Plant Manager for a top client in Indianapolis, IN. Job Summary:
The Plant Manager oversees the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the production goals are met, quality standards are maintained, and the overall plant performance is optimized. The position provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability as well as day-to-day leadership and management of this site. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees all plant employees, having direct reports.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide strong leadership to the plant team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Drive and own safety efforts within the plant.
Oversee and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
Implement efficient production strategies, identify bottlenecks, and optimize workflows to enhance productivity.
Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and consistency.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing plant operations.
Develop and manage the plant budget, working to optimize costs while maintaining high operational standards.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or safety.
Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations.
Manage production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Management of personnel in a multishift environment.

Ability to prioritize work and adhere to strict deadlines.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Detailed knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations
Good problem-solving abilities
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
At least 5 years of proven manufacturing management experience, preferably in a plant-type (e.g., metal forming, plastic molding, etc.) Â environment.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
Prior Plant Management experience required.
Proficiency in financial analysis tools and MS Office applications.

Employees regularly work near moving, vibrating, mechanical equipment, occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Exposed to minimal risk of electrical shock. The noise level is moderate.
