Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Pre-Construction Project Manager who will manage outside consultants to achieve design milestones. This is a direct hire opportunity with an integrated Construction, Design and Technology solutions firm located in Albany NY.
Pay: $115K to $120K
Responsibilities
Read, review, interpret and comprehend designs provided by project design team
Supervise and review specifications and drawings as submitted by Architects and design personnel
Review technical work of consultants
Confer with client agencies and contractors
Supervise consultant work
Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project
Coordinate and supervise complex architectural projects for new and rehabilitation of building plans and designs
Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary
Qualifications
Candidate must have a degree from an accredited college in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Ability to understand, review and approve design work
Experience coordinating with designers handling any critical issues pertinent to the project or the client/facility
Minimum of four (4) years of experience managing multiple projects
Minimum of eight (4) years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects
A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a role of Project Manager responsible for large-scale projects valued above $10 million, with an extensive knowledge of all facets of construction and construction documents
Full knowledge of the change order and cost review process and the review/approval of contractor’s payment application.
