Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for a Production Planner with 3-5 years’ experience. This is a Direct hire opportunity with a Sensors Company in Chatsworth, CA.
Salary: 90K
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
This role will be responsible for developing the production schedule to meet customer and company needs as well as coordinating on time delivery of necessary components and raw materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Plan and schedule all production assembly activities based on customer orders and required stocking levels.
Create job orders and assign picking lists from inventory management system as production requirements demand.
Manage and complete all production reporting and inventory transactions in inventory management/MRP system.
Interface with other departments (Sales, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain) to resolve problems with timely delivery of products.
Monitor resource requirements to assure schedule requirements are met.
Plan, develop and administer policies, procedures and work instructions within Planning.
Additional responsibilities as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in applicable discipline, or APICS (and/or equivalent) certified.
Minimum of 5 years of production planning/leadership in a manufacturing environment.
Prior experience with an aerospace or automotive manufacturing company.
Proficient in the use of ERP/MRP systems and developing master schedules.
Proficient in MSOffice software suite, with emphasis on spreadsheet analysis.
Sustained dependable attendance.
Cooperation with others in team environment for cross training and conference on operational issues.
Initiative in learning and changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis.
Proficient in English.
