Job Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for a Production Supervisor with 5 years’ experience. This is a Direct job opportunity with a Electronics company in Chatsworth, CA.
Salary $78K
Responsibilities:
- Manage resources in support of 95% on time delivery while providing a quality product.
- Monitor and provide performance feedback for employees in accordance with Company policy.
- Identify labor, material and cycle time reduction opportunities to demonstrate continual improvements in these areas.
- Understand and execute requirements of the QMS system.
- Ensure all employees are trained and certified in proper processing, safety, and administrative procedures and Company policies.
- Ensure adherence to all prescribed manufacturing specifications and process procedures including the use and maintenance of equipment, systems and process documentation.
- Set positive safety tone for both subordinates and peers by demonstrating proactive safety habits, holding safety meetings with employees and implementing corporate health and safety policy.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on time and to defined specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned process area.

Qualifications:
- Ability to supervise people and obtain maximum performance
- General understanding of manufacturing processes within the assigned area.
- General understanding of quality systems including SPC, and ISO-9000, etc.
- Ability to perform common mathematical operations needed to measure productivity, cost and quality performance.
- Ability to effectively supervise, coach, train and discipline operators.
- Grade 12 or equivalent, preferably with community college.
 Working Conditions:
- May be exposed to chemicals, dust, and high noise levels.
- Required to remain on call during some portion of off shift hours, to work off shift hours and overtime.
