Johnson Service Group is currently looking for a Production Supervisor in San Jose, CA.
What You’ll Do:
• Manage a team of technicians to lead the daily operations and oversee the composite
fabrication, assembly, and integration of aircraft in line with company goals.
• Hire, train, and develop a team of aerospace composite technicians, providing ongoing
performance feedback and conducting personnel reviews.
• Lead daily production meetings to communicate priorities, objectives, and progress
across shifts.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Certification, and Engineering teams to ensure
seamless execution of aircraft manufacturing and composite integration.
• Assist in developing processes for low-volume production and transitioning to highvolume
production while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Create and implement training materials related to composite manufacturing,
certification, and production processes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring staff in diagnosing and solving composite
manufacturing issues, and building team capabilities.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, fostering a culture of safety that includes
employee participation and feedback.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance
processes, design, and technology.
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety objectives, policies, and
industry regulations.
What You Need:
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in the aerospace industry, with specific expertise
in composite fabrication and assembly.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in aerospace manufacturing, preferably with
a focus on composite materials.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft manufacturing methods, including composite fabrication,
mechanical system assembly, wire harness installation, and aircraft integration.
• Strong understanding of aircraft safety, tool control, foreign object debris (FOD)
prevention, and relevant industry standards.
• Experience working in a product development environment, particularly with composite
materials and structures.
• Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage
competing priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to mentor and lead a team.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
