Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for a Project Civil Engineer who has 5 plus years in zoning analysis and site stormwater experience. This is a direct hire opportunity with an integrated Construction, Design and Technology solutions firm located in Edison NJ.
Pay: $125K
Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of civil engineering analysis and design tasks related to: roadway and grading design, site layout and planning, zoning analysis, site storm-water management, utility planning and coordination, site ADA complianceÂ
Support coordination and presentation of submissions with local utilities, municipalities, environmental agencies, and town planning boards
Perform site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications
Support the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering services
Perform construction inspections and provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects
Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small site restorations to large scale new construction
Attend professional industry functions
Support the development of technical standards and mentorship of junior engineering staff
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
5+ years’ experience in Civil Engineering
EIT certification required, NJ PE preferred
Ability to provide guidance to junior level engineers
Understanding and application of code requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience a requirement.
