Join one of the leading companies in the development and construction of small modular reactors (SMRs) as they progress from design to construction. They are looking for a ProjectControls Manager (Hybrid) with at least 5 years of recent experience in the nuclear industry. Candidates should reside in Houston, TX.
Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid Eligible)
Schedule: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay:Â $155-165K., DOE.

Drive high-impact nuclear and energy projects by leading the people, processes, and tools that keep major programs on schedule, within budget, and fully compliant. As the Project Controls Manager, you will oversee earned value management, planning and scheduling, cost estimating, change management, and reporting across complex, highly regulated projects. You’ll guide a team of project control specialists and partner with project managers, directors, and senior leadership to ensure data-driven, disciplined project execution.

What You’ll Do
Lead and develop a team of project control specialists, promoting accountability, innovation, and professional growth.
Establish and maintain project control tools, standards, and baselines, including integrated schedules and cost models.
Implement a graded controls approach based on project size and complexity.
Oversee earned value baselines, forecasts, KPIs (SPI, CPI), and change control processes across multiple projects.
Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Accounting, and other stakeholders to align project requirements and reporting needs.
Design and present progress reports for senior leadership, using dashboards and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Drive continuous improvement across project controls methodologies, leveraging lessons learned, benchmarking, and industry best practices.
Support digital transformation initiatives, including automation, analytics, and AI-driven insights.

What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business.
8+ years of project controls experience, including 5+ years in a leadership or people-management role.
Strong background in project controls methodologies, including:
Scheduling (P6)
Budgeting, cost control, ERP systems
Tools such as PRISM G2
Demonstrated application of PMI PMBOK principles (required).
Hands-on experience with integrated cost/schedule control and ANSI EIA-748-C Earned Value Management (required).
Experience in the nuclear industry, energy sector, power plant A/E, EPC, or DOE nuclear projects.
PMP certification, AACE CCP/PSP, or equivalent (preferred).
Eligibility to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810 regulations.
