Project Manager III
Location: Edmonton, AB, with potential travel within Canada & U.S
Contract Duration: Long-term opportunity for project duration.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40/hrs. per week. Hybrid work from home model.

The Project Manager III
Supports all phases of projects from inception through completion. Acts as primary contact for project activities, leading project review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies project problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Liaise with business functions to understand ongoing needs. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
Job Tasks & Duties
-Ability to work on projects ranging from 2M – 20M dollars
-Provide leadership safe on time quality and execution of projects
-Provide successful completion of services to internal and external stakeholders
-Ability to assign tasks to others for task completion
-Ability to work in a timely manner to keep projects on track
-Ability to advise any issues or successes during projects
-Capacity to work between 3-5 and 8-10 projects at a time
-Understands the potential for travel to projects for site visits between Canada and the U.S for 3-4 day trips every 3-6 months
-Understanding of project work in areas such as pipeline installation – green field, installation of valves brow field, off site grading and revetment
-Understands the importance of this being a safety critical role where the individual is expected to be a safety leader and exemplifies positive and proper safety behavior while interacting with others in the office and in the field
-Demonstrates excellent relationship building skills
The Team
Working with 3 project coordinators & 1 project manager while providing project leadership to stakeholder groups such as construction, engineering, execution, land, regulatory, etc.
Job Requirements
-Project management experience
-Post secondary education in engineering or related field
-7-10 years of experience
-Pipeline construction and project management experience in the Oil and Gas industry is preferred
-PMP certification is an asset
-Experience reading schedules is required, prior scheduling experience is an asset
-Experience using Microsoft, basic systems knowledge
-A team player with influential leadership skills and capabilities
-Prior experience working on projects requiring solutions for regulatory and execution matters is an asset
