Job Description

Johnson Service Group (JSG)?is a nationally recognized Professional Staffing and Recruiting firm that is currently looking for a Project Manager with experience in Utilities. This is a contract to hire opportunity with a great civil engineering firm out in Indiana.

Responsibilities:

Assumes responsibility for assigned services and activities related to the management of specific utilities projects, including design, bid, construction and related functions and professional contracts, to ensure completion of projects within budgetary, regulatory and time constraints.
Directs, coordinates and reviews the work plan for utilities project activities; assigns work activities, including organizing and scheduling the work of professional and paraprofessional engineering staff and private contractors; monitors work flow; reviews and elevates work products, methods, and procedures; meets with staff to identify and resolve problems.
Budget Control - understanding the project budget by cost analysis for materials and manpower, curtailing any overruns of the accepted budget, updating the budget for any contractual modifications, and reporting negative deviations, including principle causes and recommendations for corrections.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work in civil engineering, construction management, construction technology or a related field
2+ years of electrical transmission and distribution experience
Substation or Line Project Management experience (doesn’t require both)
