Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally award-winning staffing firm, has an immediate opportunity for a QA Inspector for a contract manufacturing company in Carlsbad, CA.
Contract Role | Onsite | The pay rate for this position is $23/Hr. based on skills and experience.
Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform in-process audits and inspect bulk products to ensure they meet strict specifications and cGMP compliance. Your work will help maintain the highest quality standards for our products.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-process and final inspections of bulk products, ensuring adherence to cGMP and company procedures.
Perform physical inspections and testing, including FT-IR identity testing, disintegration, moisture analysis, density and sieve testing, weight variation, hardness, and thickness measurements.
Inspect finished products using statistical sampling plans to verify conformance to specifications.
Assist with inspection of labels, packaging components, and raw materials at receipt.
Document inspection results accurately and maintain required records.
Report inspection failures and non-conformances to QA Supervisor or Coordinator.
Follow company procedures and cGMP standards for handling non-conforming materials or products.
Collaborate effectively with Purchasing, Planning, R&D, Distribution, Inventory Control, Client Services, and QA teams.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Support validation tasks and manage blend/bulk retains as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; BA/BS in Physical Science or Quality Experience preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to document information accurately and thoroughly.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
Knowledge of inspection criteria, testing methods, and data interpretation.
