JSG is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our client's aerospace manufacturing team in Santa Clarita, CA. This is a 100% on-site contract position (12–18+ months) supporting manufacturing quality, root cause analysis, and customer satisfaction improvement activities.
The ideal candidate is reliable, exercises strong independent judgment, takes initiative, and stays composed under pressure.
Skills:
AS9100 experience required; aerospace experience strongly preferred (medical device industry background with transferable knowledge is also considered)
Provide Manufacturing Quality Support and Quality Engineering expertise
Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to closure
Support Customer Satisfaction Improvement Activities
Partner with operations teams to improve throughput and process performance
Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure products meet established standards
Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Collaborate with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to improve product quality
Prepare and communicate quality reports, findings, and recommendations
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and company requirements
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on quality procedures and best practices
5+ years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related technical field
 Aiken Certified Technician, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification
Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
Pay Rate: $50–$60/hr DOE
