Job Description
Act as primary customer point of contact for Quality related issues and retain overall responsibility for Quality as it pertains to the Program and/or Supplier assigned. Develop and execute Quality plans, which meet or exceed customer requirements, and identification and mitigation of Quality related risks in support of Program requirements. Responsible to continually improve Quality improvement via corrective and preventive action plans, analysis of performance data, and development of specific improvement plans.

General duties:
- Review of prime contract Quality requirements
- Development of Quality plans
- Support development of production and technical readiness reviews
- Perform trend analysis and support variability reduction utilizing Lean Manufacturing and other advanced analytical skills such as Statistical Process control
- Review and approve NCR’s requiring customer MRB approval
- Manage the corrective and preventive actions as they relate to specific Programs and/or Suppliers and perform failure analysis (FMEA)
- Administer and maintain CPI's Approved Supplier Listing and associated special approvals
- Perform various types of supplier audits that may be required. Identify and develop data queries in support of focus areas / initiatives
Additional/Specific Requirements:

- Familiarity with INFOR XA enterprise software and / or ability to develop data queries to obtain information required to support metrics and Lean assessments/improvements
- Must possess general knowledge of assembly and production processes, supply chain management and quality, as well as Lean principles, processes and tools (i. e. Continuous Flow, Accelerated Improvement Workshop, Value Stream Analysis, Takt Time, etc.)
- Proficiency in standard computing software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Thorough understanding of AS9100 Quality Management System requirementsÂ
- ASQ CQE Quality Certification preferred
- Familiarity with both conventional(two dimensional) design and model based (3D) design practices, techniques and associated Quality requirements Â
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify issues and connect corollary issues and effects
- Ability to work well in a multifunctional team environment
- Proficiency in standard computing software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- General knowledge of aerospace/defense products, systems, specifications, standards, technologies - specifically in the area of product manufacturing, materials (metallurgy) and processing (i.e., heat treating, plating, coating; and non-destructive testing)
- Demonstrated competency in the application of advanced analytical methods and problem-solving tools that influence design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product performance through inspection and testing procedures;
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) and its application
- Strong planning, coordination and facilitation skills to influence and drive continuous improvement objectives/goals
Education/Experience:
3-9 years experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent education and work experience
