Quality Inspectors QA/QC – Mechanical, Piping, Civil

JSG is currently recruiting experienced, qualified and competent QA/QC Inspectors for various discipline for upcoming work in Saskatchewan.  The Quality Inspectors are fully conversant with applicable Industry standards, specifications, and fabrication processes to be inspected. Site Quality inspectors will report to their respective Quality Managers.

Responsibilities/Scope of Work:

• Perform the Inspections and Tests in accordance with the approved ITPs and produce the pertaining quality records.
• Verify that test equipment is properly calibrated and maintained as required by the Construction Quality Management Plan.
• Review the test reports and other quality records generated
• Initiate/issuance of Internal Non-Compliance Report once a non-conformity situation has been detected.
• Carry out quality control activities identified in CQMP and ITPs.
• Evaluate and document the quality of Construction Work performed by Suppliers and/or Subcontractors, including conformance with PA requirements and RFC drawings and specifications, fulfilling all the QC assigned activities in the related Inspection and Test Plan.
• Verify that any equipment that requires signoff is fit for purpose, is properly calibrated and maintained as required.
• Identify and report non-compliant Construction Work and supplied product when discovered, and review/ monitor the disposition of non-Compliances.
• Control the further processing, delivery, installation, or use of non-compliant Construction Work or supplied product until the unsatisfactory conditions are corrected.
• Coordinate quality activities with Construction and any other agency having jurisdiction, including Utilities and Governmental Authorities.
• Prepare and maintain quality records pertaining to their assigned portion of work.

Min. Requirements:

• Must have experience with heavy industrial infrastructure, buildings, vertical construction, utilities, mining, processing etc...
• Accredited two (2) or three (3) year Technical or Engineering Technology diploma or global equivalent in applicable field of study
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to apply knowledge of applicable local, provincial, and federal statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements:

Depending on the scope of work, required to have experience in civil construction Quality Assurance and Quality Control inspection, testing and related activities to units such as earthworks, concrete, formwork, rebar, Post tensioning, pre-cast concrete structural elements, paving, grouting, bolting and torquing, structural welding, building architecture, building installations, Electrical/instrumentation/HVAC…Design-Build or P3 Experience on Infrastructure Projects.
