Reprogramming Lab Sustainment Lead Engineer

General Duties:
• Understand hardware configurations installed in each of the Reprogramming Lab customer facilities.
• Understanding facility designs and requirements at the customer sites.
• Stay informed and aware of current SST SIL Development Hardware designs that could impact RL’s.
• Estimate Support: provide ROMs and TINA compliant BOEs as needed for future projects and baseline changes.

Baseline Design Change Support:
• Review and provide technical support for all baseline change requests to the RL labs.
• Systems Engineering Team Support:
1. Change Requests (CR):
-Formulate initial design solution for requested changes.
-Provide HW related CR writeup data:
• All drawings, assembly objects and supplier parts.
• Description of change/technical solution.
- Field Service Bulletin writeup support.
2. Work Process Evaluation (WPE) and requirements support.
3. Supplier TDP update support (PDM review and approval).
• New HW Implementation:
1. Assign new design tasks to HW engineers.
2. Track to completion and CR closure.
3. Liaison to Build Lead for hardware changes.
4. New hardware installation support.
5. Liaison with Configuration Management for baseline changes.
6. Support DD250 activities:
-PDM structure and design updates.
-PCA.

Program Sustainment Team Support:
• DMS Parts Review:
o Review all sustainment DMS reports/studies (2 - 4 times per year).
o Approve or reject alternate parts.
o Research and select new alternate parts as needed.
o Initiate CRs with SE team for new alternate parts.
• New Project/HW ALIS Load:
o Review all new designs with Sustainment Team to identify Maintenance Significant Items (MSI).
o Identify parts that are Single Point Failure (SPF) and suggest Failure Mode Ratio (FMR) factors for new parts.
o Provide cost and lead time data for all new parts.
• Sustainment Parts Procurement (for parts not handled by ALIS):
o Review all parts requests for LM and supplier procurement requests.
- Create parts lists for LM assemblies.
- Identify COTS items that require LM labeling and QA.
o Create DBOMs and submit to Procurement team for NPR and P-Card ordering.
o Review and approve all NPRs.
o Parts Tracking:
- Track COTS parts from order to delivery.
- Track LM assemblies from order to build, QA and delivery.
o Support CRE team for Software and Maintenance Renewal procurement.

Onsite Support (customer site):
• Field questions/requests from the onsite integration and operations teams:
o Troubleshooting issues.
o Replacing/repairing damaged parts.
o Assign tasks to hardware engineers and oversee to completion.
• Initiate new CRs with SE team as required.
