We are seeking a Revenue & Financial Compliance Manager to join our client’s office in Houston, TX. This role will be reporting to the Director, Controller making a straight impact on the financial compliance in government and commercial contracts. This role will manage financial reporting, invoicing, reconciliations, journal entries and ensure everything aligns with ASC 606, FAR, CAS, and SOX standards.
Location: Houston, TX (On-site, No remote work available) Salary: $130-140,000 Industry: Clean Energy / Government & Commercial Contracts Travel: Ability to travel national and internationally
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field (CPA or advanced degree preferred)
8+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in management
Hands-on experience with government contract regulations (FAR, CAS, Uniform Guidance)
Strong SOX, FAR and Government Contracts experience
Strong understanding of ASC 606, US GAAP, and SOX 404(b) requirements
Proven skills in financial reporting, audits, ERP systems, and Excel
Must be eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810
Able to travel nationally and internationally
Responsibilities:
Managing revenue compliance and contract billing (DOE and other agencies)
Leading financial reporting: ICS, SEFA, SF-425s, CSEs, and audit support
Overseeing journal entries and monthly reconciliations for revenue and cost share
Ensuring accurate ERP project setups for proper revenue recognition
Leading and developing a small team; mentoring and guiding process improvement
Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring documentation compliance
Commits to the understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
