Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for a Senior Pipe Stress Engineer for a 12 month contract. In this role you will perform pipe stress analysis using AutoPipe.
This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization.
Qualification Requirements
US Citizenship
Must be able to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
EIT certification or PE registration preferred.
Previous DOD/DOE project experience preferred.
Working knowledge of dynamic analysis and ASME B31.3 or B31.1 Codes.
Prior experience using pipe stress analysis program Bentley AutoPipe.
Major Responsibilities
Essential duties include performing pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code.
The stress work includes the modeling of the piping systems to verify piping flexibility, stability, and qualification of equipment nozzle loads.
Work closely with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
Working knowledge of dynamic analysis and ASME B31.3 or B31.1 Codes.
Evaluates, selects, and applies standard plant design and piping engineering?methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making?adaptations and modifications?.
Participates in reviews and recommends approval of design?drawings and data for compliance with requirements?.
Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements, sketches ideas and possible?solutions?.
Analyzes and reports on the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques, and/or?difficult coordination requirements.?
Coordinates plant design engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups,?engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional?groups.?
