Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for two (2) Senior Pipe Support Engineers for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant near Richland, WA. This onsite role offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Base Pay Rate -Â $85.00/hour
Project Overview:
We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. The Hanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant is located 22 miles northwest of Richland, WA.
Responsibilities:
Locating and designing supports for various piping systems and performing associated calculations.
Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress and other support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
6 - 9 years of experience using pipe stress analysis programs ME150 (FAPPS) or GT STRUDL.
Strong knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards.
Requires ability to work in 3D model environment for extraction of 2D pipe support drawings.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
Preferred Qualifications:
PE Registration.
Prior experience using Pipe Support Modeler software.
Previous Bechtel project experience.
Previous DOD/DOE project experience.
