Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is actively seeking a Senior Substation Project Manager for a major engineering client, to support our client’s team working from their office in Newark, New Jersey.
Job Duties:
Plan and develop engineering projects in a wide variety of engineering fields.
Directly manage groups of engineers, technicians, and other project support team members.
Manage project budgets and schedules, being fully accountable for impact of project performance.
Plan, organize, and supervise engineering project teams.
Oversee the safety of engineers, technicians, and other project support team members in all projects.
Maintain a presence in the engineering community, to remain technically adept, and to present technical papers and seminars.
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering, and 10+ years experience, or MS degree with sufficient experience.
P.E. license and/or PMP certification is a plus.
Experience working in the electrical power generation or transmission field.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work individually and in a team.
Detail oriented with a high level of organizational skills.
